Ingredients
- 90g of Oats
- 1 & 1/2 Cups of Nut Milk (375ml)
- 1 Teaspoon of Turmeric
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla Powder (or 2 Vanilla Pods)
- Optional: 2 Teaspoons of Honey/Maple Syrup
These Happy Oats are the best way to brighten up your morning, it’s been my favourite breakfast for the last few weeks. Just the colour is enough to make you smile and the blend of spices is so warming and sweet. It doesn’t take any extra time and it’s such a delicious and sunny way to change up your porridge.
Mix together the oats, turmeric, cinnamon and vanilla powder in your saucepan. Pour in the nut milk and place on medium heat.
Bring it up to a simmer and then cook for about 5 minutes until the oats are soft.
Stir in the honey and a dash more nut milk (if needed). Serve with your favourite toppings- I go for coconut chips and nut butter.

Is 90g of oats correct? Sounds like a lot to me!
Yep- it’s for two servings x
I am allergic to oats, can i use rye instead?
I haven’t tried it with rye but it’s delicious with quinoa, you can use any substitute you normally do for porridge type things x
